Yankees Buy In At Deadline

NEW YORK — Before the trade deadline could pass, the Yankees managed to fill in the fifth and sixth spots in the rotation, acquiring Sonny Gray from Oakland in exchange for Dustin Fowler, Jorge Mateo, and James Kaprielian. The second starter the Bronx Bombers traded for was Jaime Garcia from Minnesota for Dietrich Enns and Zack Littell. This solidifies a somewhat questionable pitching staff into a lineup full of deadly arms. Even with all of these moves, the Yanks managed to keep 7 of their top 10 prospects, making it a win for both of these trades.
