NEW YORK — The 5th day in the rotation has always been a tricky spot for the Yankees. With only 4 proven starters, all of which who are used, New York turned to Caleb Smith to keep the win steak alive. Although Smith wasn’t the best, the bullpen came in early and took on most of the load. Luckily enough, the offense is still seeing the ball extremely well. With RBI’s from Sanchez, Didi, Headley, and then the eventual walk-off from Gardner, the Yanks offense willed them to another W and the series win over Tampa Bay. Making it 6 straight W’s for the Bronx Bombers.
